Psychoeducational Evaluations

Uncovering the "Why" behind learning and behavioral challenges through comprehensive, evidence-based assessment.

What is a Psychoeducational Evaluation?

A psychoeducational evaluation is a comprehensive assessment designed to understand a student's cognitive strengths and weaknesses, academic achievement levels, and social-emotional functioning. This deep dive allows us to identify specific learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, or other health impairments that may be impacting educational progress.

At CAS, our evaluations are conducted by Licensed Educational Psychologists (LEPs) who specialize in differntial diagnosis and educational planning. We don't just provide scores; we provide a roadmap for the student's success.

Key Areas Assessed:

  • Cognitive Processing: Memory, attention, processing speed, and executive functioning.
  • Academic Achievement: Reading, writing, and math skills analysis.
  • Social-Emotional Health: Anxiety, depression, and behavioral impact on learning.
  • Adaptive Behavior: Functional independence and daily living skills.
